Mrs Pickerill was one of those teachers that made a real impression on me. I was thrilled when she accepted my invitation to see the show I was professionally stage managing with a Canadian theater company on tour in Manchester. I wanted her to know that she had played a bigger part in my story than just being my primary school teacher. Sending all her family my heartfelt condolences.
