JohnPICKOVERIt is with great sadness that the family of John Pickover announce his passing on February 28. John, affectionately known as Pixie to his friends, of Clayton Le Moors, leaves his wife Mavis and daughters Beverly and Louise. John grew up in Fern Gore, the youngest of four boys. He was a mechanic by trade and the proprietor of Albion Garage, Accrington, which he successfully ran for nearly 30 years before retiring. In his spare time John liked gardening, travel, boxing and horse racing with many trips to the races enjoyed over the years. He was a sociable character, formerly a member of the Willow Mount Working Men’s Club, where he made many friends. John will be sadly missed by his family, also leaving son-in-laws Ryan and Nick and three grandchildren, Leah, Jack and Freya. His funeral and celebration of his life will take place on Friday, March 24 at Accrington Crematorium at 1pm. Arrangements: Hyndburn Funeral Services, Accrington. Family flowers only please. Donations to the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society https:// nras.org.uk.
