I had the pleasure of running Colin's butcher shop for him from its opening in February 1989 for nearly 5 years. As bosses go, he was the best. Always happy, smiling and full of charm. He had the best/worst sense of humour of anyone I know. I will always cherish my working time for him.
RIP Colin.

Upon my initial visit to Colin's butcher shop in 2008 and on every subsequent visit, I was greeted with a broad smile and gentle hug. My husband Peter's daily bicycle rides through the streets of Winchcombe were invariably acknowledged by Colin, waving, and honking his passing car's horn. Thank you for being part of Winchcombe's eclectic business history. To the Pilcher family, we offer our heartfelt condolences for Colin's passing. In friendship, Peter Sekulic and Dora Kislenko

Very sad to hear about Colin. I remember Saturdays getting our meat for the week when Pilcher & Newman were at Cavendish House. Always used to think of him when we’d drive past his house - if he was outside we usually got a cheery wave. RIP Colin.

I met Colin about 20 yrs ago I used to ride my bike past the butchers & shout good morning on my paper round!
Always a smile & a wave & always stayed in touch as an adult as I had a shop a couple of shops down, always greeted with a hug, kiss on the cheek & a catch up chat! On my 21st birthday he wrote on all the boards outside his shop wishing me a Happy 21st.
Just the kindest, kindest, warmest man.
Thinking of his wife, his children & rest of his family ❤️xx
