I employed a very young & quiet Lynford at Cartransport on Rowley Road in about 1972. He was a diligent and conscientious worker who was a well liked and respected member of staff. I remember him fondly and am sad to learn of his passing. A lovely guy. Alan Buckle

Oh dear Lynford - you will be sorely missed especially by your fellow quizzers. I spoke to you in October on your birthday and you suggested that we should meet up shortly. How poignant now - I was so looking forward to seeing you.

Life is short and I can’t think that you’re not in Coventry any more . I’m glad you got to see Marleigh in her lead role - I know how proud you were!

Rest peacefully my friend xxx
