Mrs Platt, what a lovely wise, great teacher who showed me so much kindness and guidance in my final years at school. Was always available with a listening ear., a smile and an ‘open door’ Certainly didn’t suffer fools and the only thing that she asked for was complete honesty! I bumped into Mrs Platt at DMH a few years later and what a difference she was making to the people of north Staffordshire with such a passion for her much loved DMH and everything it stood for.
I’ll never forget you and I’ll always be grateful for making my time at school more bearable.
Am thinking of family and friends and hope that the many fond memories you have and the knowledge of just what a difference she made to peoples lives is of great pride and comfort to you all. I’m sorry I can’t be with you but will be thinking of you all.xx
