Gone but never forgotten. Best performances in "To Sir With Love". ( We got the film and the book.) "In The Heat of The Night". A seriously classic performance. Holywood described you as 'unflappable'. R.I.P. Sir.

I am in shocked! I grew up watching black and white television. Whenever there were movies that had Black actors in them, we had to sit down and be quiet. It was something special to see our own people / black people on television. Times in the 60's were different. Mr. Sidney Poitier was born a year before my mother. Mr. Poitier was an angel that was sent by God to break the chains of racism that was in the arts of movies at that time. Just to know the journey that took Mr Poitier had to take and all that he had to endure to this day is awesome. A young teenager it seems that he was alone , but God took care of him. God knew all that he would have to go through and endure. I believe that Mr. Poitier"s parents prepared him for his life journey and success. My condolences to the Poitier's Family and Friends. I love his movies and the way that he smiled. The world is going to miss him. All weekend long I have been singing, To Sir With Love, and also I have been watching all of Mr, Sidney Poitier:s movies that I watched growing up in the 60"s. God bless and be with this family.
