RolandPOOLESuddenly passed away on Wednesday 30th September 2026 whilst at his home. Roland, aged 93 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Marie. Cherished dad of Ruth, dear father in law of Andy, special grandad of Chelsea and fondly remembered by Jonathan. Roland will be sadly missed by his loving family and friends.

Funeral service is to take place at St Mark's Church, Basford on Tuesday 20th October 2026 at 1:00pm, followed by burial at Knutton Cemetery. Will all wishing to attend kindly meet at the Church.

Flowers are welcome or donations if preferred to dDeafLinks Staffordshire or Dogs Trust.

Roland was one of the friendliest people with the sunniest outlook it has been my good fortune to have known. He had a wicked sense of humour with a roguish smile with a generous spirit that one couldn't help but warm to. I'll miss him.

I remember Roland from a number of years ago when he was a friend of my late brother Raymond Adams. I believe they went on holidays together with other friends before he married.

We are saddened by the passing of a much-loved member of our community. His kindness, friendship, and support over many years meant so much to us all.

He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.
