My Aunty Mary she was a lovely, kind and funny woman. She will be much missed by her family Jacky Povey Robert, Charly Frances Eve Povey-Jones and many others.
For me she was a massive part of my childhood and although actually my cousin we always called her Aunty.
Mary was like a sister to my mum and they had a lot of laughs and adventures together over the years.
This really feels like the final passing of the generation that raised both me and my brother as a warm loving family
Rest well Mary you deserve it ❤️

The happy holidays we shared, all crammed into the car with cases and food packed around us, pitching up on woolacombe beach at 7am... and you always were the one who got holed..
All the "rave ups" you organised and planned for gramma when she wanted them, All the favourite meals you did us all even when we all wanted something different. Taking in all the animal strays we brought, Tess, Rambo, Dylan and Brian (and a few birds and a Rat.) Nothing in any danger was turned away. I will treasure forever our Covid months in the sun in your garden and teaching me to knit and keeping patience when I continually had to get you to put it right for me. Even our little paddling pool day that year in your garden on one of the hottest days. Our outings to Bakewell and meals at the Hardy Pick. I am going to miss our busy little Mondays where we both had loads of little jobs to do, and our laughs in my car. Our scrabble and jigsaw days, Our crazy Christmas dinners when we couldn't be bothered to cook, and the silly games we played instead, (Christmas will never be the same mum for the rest of my life).
Ma, It's only been a few weeks and I have so much I want to talk to you about... and every time my phone rings I think it's you. (don't you forget what you said)
Thankyou for being the strength of our family, the source of everything, the words of wisdom, the support, the encouragement, the positivity. Thankyou for your endless love which you gave no matter what was going on in our lives, I am hurting and missing you more with every day that passes.
My ma, the kindest, most selfless person to have ever lived.. Thankyou for the laughs, for being my best friend, my angel, my remarkable ma. I don't know what I'm going to do without you.
Night Night ma, love you forever and always xxxx

My Remarkable Ma:
A lifetime of happy memories... I have been so blessed and privileged to have you for my mum, so lucky that I grew up with a mum that would do absolutely anything for me...
Getting up in the middle of the night when I couldn't sleep to play games and draw in front of the fire, eat with me out of the "horsebowl" when I was poorly, endless outings to parks and countrysides, walking and bilberry picking and loads and loads of pack lunches. Days out cycling following arrow routes, feeding ducks, shopping, Christmas lights, beaches ... and so much more. Family Coach and forfeits... Ring on a string and how green you are... Even telling me you painted with paint that spiders don't go on (which I believed for years afterwards).
I had everything I could ever wish for.. You have been there for me throughout my life, no matter what has been going on... always had faith and belief in me. always had the right words to say.
You did all of it over again when I had Charly, I couldn't have done it on my own.. and I will be eternally grateful for the sacrifices you made for us and for the love and laughter we all shared.. I just don't know what happens next without my best friend. I can't begin to imagine my life without you in it mum….
