Thinking of all the Powell family especially Martin, Alex and Jacob at this very sad time. Ron was an absolute gentleman, a story teller and the sweetest man you could ever meet. Heaven has received an amazing angel.

It was a pleasure to have met Ron when he visited Ireland ! Ron was a true English gentleman & Martin , Alex & our nephew Jacob are true extensions of that ! Rip Ron x

Grandad Ron

Today we will walk with you as you find rest with Nan and Uncle Simon. You thought us the true meaning of love and family and with each step we will remember your strength, patience, courage, sense of humour and most of all your stories. We hope you know we heard and cherished every word.

We will remember how we loved to walk with Grandad, how you never rushed our little legs or never gave out to us as we stopped to pick up rocks. We will remember the influence you had on Dad, Ade and Alex and how they love their children now. We are glad that they had your guiding hand when supporting us along our paths but Mostly for the unconditional love you thought them to share.


After today we will continue to carry you and Your stories with us. We will treat people with kindness and compassion like you showed us how and just like you we will brave and courageous when life asks it of us. Mostly We hope that our hearts are as capable of showing love as yours.

We will hold your memory throughout our lives Grandad, like you held our hands throughout yours x

So sorry for your loss. The few times I was lucky enough to meet Ron he was such a beautiful person, a Kind and gentle man. May he rest in peace.
