Vera MayPOWERPassed away peacefully at Rider House Nursing Home on Tuesday 28th July 2026, aged 91 years.

Wife of the late Michael, and Mum to John, Angela and Helen. Grandma to Neal, Amanda, Cameron and Charlotte, and Great-Grandma to Aurora and the late Zachary.

Funeral Friday 21st August, service at 2pm at St Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, followed by a committal service in the Willow Room at Bretby Crematorium.

Black need not be worn.

Family flowers only please. Donations in loving memory of Vera will benefit Cancer Research UK, and may be made following the service.

A very special neighbour and friend, Vera was a lovely person and had time for everyone, we really miss our daily chats and hearing her stories of growing up, going to dances, holidays with the family Vera was very proud of her family, grandchildren and especially her great grand daughter she really looked forward to little Aurora visiting.
We miss you Vera rest in peace
