Michael (Mikey)POWRIEThe family would like to thank all relatives, family and friends for their very kind wishes, cards and flowers given due to the bereavement of their son, fiancé, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. Thanks to paramedics, doctors and nurses of the accident and emergency and Stephen Docherty of the Royal Alexandra Hospital for their care and compassion which was appreciated by all the family. Special thanks to Michael's church family at Mossvale Community Church and thanks in particular to Pastor Hugh Chalk, Gail Chalk, Corinne Watt, Janet Barr, Hugh Chalk Jnr, Peter Chalk, Victoria McGregor, David McGregor, Holly Russell and Stephen Harvey for the most beautiful and poignant church service to celebrate his life which you all did wonderfully. Thanks also to Alison Stuart Flower Design and Geri MacNeil of Flowers in Thyme for the stunning flowers, Graham McLaughlin and friends for the bespoke catering for Michael's favourite foods. Staff and members of the Royal British Legion Paisley Comrades Club for their assistance on the day for the funeral purvey with special thanks to Chairman Kenny Lupton. Sincere thanks to Katrina Johnston and all staff of Woodside Crematorium for your kindness and support, Renfrewshire Council Registration Department, Stewart Walker Funeral Director of Kenneth Keegan Independent Funeral Directors and all the staff for your care, compassion you all showed at this very sad time for our beloved Mikey. A total of £500 was raised for the charity Mission Aid Ghana where he always hoped to visit with Mossvale Community Church.
