MelvinPRATTSuddenly but peacefully on 2nd August 2024 in Scunthorpe General Hospital, Mel aged 81 years.

The devoted and much loved husband of Rose, loving dad of Mark and Nicola and father-in-law of Emma and Lee, adored grandad of Zoe, Ryan and Steve, great-grandad of Darcie and a very good friend to many.

A service to celebrate Mel’s life will be held in Grimsby Crematorium on Monday 19th August 2024 at 12.00 noon.

No flowers please by request, donations in lieu to benefit ‘Therapy Dogs Nationwide’ may be given at the service or sent to: -

So sorry to read this news...Mel and his wider family where great friends and influences to myself and father Bill (Jock) Richardson, over many years of involvement with Laportes, SCM and Millenium Cricket, Snooker, and earlier Football teams.

Remembering a good work friend and also a fellow cricketer playing for Laporte in the 1970's. Condolences to Rose and the family. Some lovely memories of weekend matches at the club.

So sorry to hear of Mels passing, worked with him for many years at Laportes and played a lot of cricket at the club with him. I moved to Warrington in 1981 so lost touch. My sincere condolences to you Rose and all the family. He was a good friend for many years. Peter Smith
