Roderick DonaldPRESTLETONRod Passed away on 6th December 2022, aged 70 years. Much loved Husband, Dad and Grandad who will be so sadly missed by all his family and friends. The funeral service is to be held at Sutton Coldfield Crematorium on Friday 30th December 2022, at 1-45 p.m. Flowers are welcome or if preferred donations in lieu are for The Alzheimer’s Society c/o C Bastock Ltd, 67-71 Warwick Road, Solihull, B92 7HP or by using the donate button on this page.

Rod, the best neighbour and friend we could have wished for, always ready to lend a helping hand. The kindest of men, you will be sadly missed but always remembered.

To my dear friend Rod - a great man and excellent engineer who made a direct positive impact on Defence capabilities. We worked together for about 10 years consecutively during a number of my postings and pushed through a selection of programmes - it also gave me chance to return Rod's friendship by taking him flying in a C130 to observe one his projects being airdropped by parachute! His later support to me whilst I was the MoD desk officer for Land Rover was truly invaluable - nuff said. Rod was one of life's gentlemen and a great ambassador for the Land Rover mark. He will be sorely missed. Best wishes my friend - Mike Short (Lt Col (Retd)).
