There are no words there’s nothing left to say
It’s difficult to accept that you had to pass away
No more smiles, no more laughter
Thankfully you got your happy ever after

No ask was too much you had patience for us all
When it came to challenges you stood proud you stood tall
The self-sacrifice that you gave me without question
I know all the things you did for me without hesitation

I love you like the tides loves the moon
I had you for so many days but still gone too soon
You nurtured me, set standards and gave me purpose
When I could not make sense of this world you showed me calmness

There’s a huge hole in my world and I now carry a scar
For now, I cannot be with you I cannot be where you are
And my memories of you will burn from here to eternity
I’ll wear my scar with pride because you love me

Now your time here is at end, and you can be with the light
Whilst a life without you will be hard you showed me how to fight
In your letter you said goodbye is forgetting
How do I forget the mum who gave me everything

Mum,

You were my rock, my biggest supporter and the one person who never, ever gave up on me. Even when I was difficult, you always believed in me and loved me unconditionally.

I will forever be grateful for everything you gave me, and for the love you showed me throughout my life.

Holding your hand in your final hours is something I will treasure forever. It was one of the most heartbreaking, but also most special, moments of my life.

I love you, Mum. Always and forever.
