DorothyPROCTERDorothy passed away peacefully on June 20 at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, aged 83 years. The dearly loved wife of Bill, loving mum of Andrew, Michael and Stephen, dear mother-in-law of Lorna, Anne and Cleantha, cherished grandma to Kirsty, Callum, Ellie and Joseph. Dorothy was born and raised in Leyland and upon leaving education Dorothy started her working life as an apprentice at Finches Bakery before joining her husband Bill working at Leyland Motors. Together they thoroughly enjoyed their holidays to Anglesey, Northumberland, North Wales and Scotland but her favourite off to place was Whitby. Dorothy had a love of knitting, sewing and crocheting in her spare time. She also enjoyed baking and cooking she made excellent pies, puddings and cakes. Dorothy will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her. Dorothy’s funeral service will be held at Accrington Crematorium on Tuesday, July 11 at 11am.
