When Phil joined the Police i showed him round at Brinsley where I was the resident policeman at that time.
Always a very friendly and personable man in my dealings with him. Didn't know about his demise until I saw Dawson Saxton yesterday. Condolences to all.

Sending all our love and condolences to Margaret and family. I first met Phil many years ago when my brother worked along side him and I was a young teenager. Then when I was 21, over 36 years ago now, I also worked along side him at times at Eastwood. He was a lovely, kind and a hard working man, a true gent. It was a pleasure to have known him, so sorry for your loss. It's only recently that I heard this very sad news. Our hearts go out to you Margaret and your family. Take care Dawn & Family x
