MayQUEEN(née Wood) It is with great sadness that the family of May Queen, née Wood, announce her death on Sunday 7th February 2021, aged 73, after a dignified and lengthy fight with illness. Beloved wife of Kim, mum to Mark, Gary and Jillian, dearly loved gran to Mhairi, Kirstyn, Callum, Fraser, Ross, Dylan and Megan. Her funeral service was held on 16th February 2021, at Hamilton Old Parish Church followed by a cremation service at Daldowie Crematorium. May's family would like to express their heartfelt thanks for all the messages of sympathy and support received. Thank you to family, friends and neighbours who were able to be present at the celebration of May's life along with those who attended the services online. The family would like to acknowledge the personal carers of JKL Care Services and district nursing staff who supported and cared for May throughout her long illness. Also to T A Fyffes for their guidance with funeral arrangements and to the Rev. Ross Blackman for conducting both services. Forever in our hearts.
