Michael ColinRATTISadly on Monday, 30th October at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London surrounded by his family, Michael of Wernffrwd Farm, Wernffrwd, Llanmorlais. Much loved husband of Kay, beloved father of Julie and Michela and adored grandfather of Alex, Aled, Isabella, Fiona and Hannah. Michael taught at Gowerton, Loughor, and Pentre Hafod. A keen athlete, Michael held the 800-yard Welsh Universities record and coached a successful Penclawdd RFC in the 1970s. Well remembered by the community in Penclawdd as the owner of Ratti's Ice Cream Parlour in Penclawdd which served as an informal social centre for the youth of the village, Michael pioneered a teaching method for academically and socially challenged children that is today used all over the world. He is sadly missed by all his family and friends. Funeral on Saturday, 25th November, service at Llanelli Crematorium at 12.00 noon. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if so desired, to Prostate Cymru will be kindly received by the Funeral Directors
