Alun and family I am so saddened to hear of Phillippa’s passing. I shall always be grateful for her friendship. Laterally as I now live in Spain we communicated through social media. Our parents were friends and neighbours and it was comforting to know that someone else cherished those happy Hilland Drive years.
I always admired her rum -unctuousness, her superior wit, intelligence and forthrightness and always looked forward to her posts and comments…. they seemed always to have more resonance it seemed to me.
I had hoped she would visit me in Spain but her ongoing health problems prevented it. I’m sure she is free from that now and hope her indomitable character and spirit lives on wherever she is. RIP Phillippa you were a true citizen of the world and I remember you with great fondness and gratitude.
With love Siân

Alun and family - I served with Pippa in Iraq, she spoke with great love for you and the boys. I was so lucky to visit with her in 2015 and had hoped to visit with her again. She will be missed by many. She served her country well and kept alive so many memories of your family. Know she is with your parents and brother now with her big heart working just fine. Pippa, you have gone much too soon, I am remembering all the happy times of our school years in Hong Kong and the mischief we got up to and valued the friendship we had over the years we have known each other.
