Mam, losing you is a pain I’ll never get over, it’s like something is always missing from my life.
You were the best person I’ve ever known.
I thought that time heals everything, but it doesn’t,
time just teaches you how to carry the weight, most days I’m fine, but then it hits me like it happened all over again. I find myself wanting to call you to hear your voice, I then realise, it’s not going to happen as you’ve gone forever.
I’m not the same person anymore, grief isn’t something you move on from, it’s something you learn to live with.
I’ve lost the only person who loved me unconditionally, my friend,
my mam.
You were my home.
