MayREIDOf Dunfermline, Fife, also a long-time resident of Guildford, Surrey, entered into the care of Our Lord and was reunited with her beloved husband, Tom, on 20th February 2025.

Born on 16th September 1940 to Thomas and Margaret Dickson of Kirkcaldy, Fife, May was the devoted and loving sister of Ann, mother of Tommy, Colette and Christopher; mother-in-law of Christina and Tina; and the most dedicated grandmother in the world to Sophie and Anna Reid, Hannah, Isobel and Monica, Martin, Michael and Daniel Reid.

In addition to giving her family the confidence to reach beyond their grasp and the wings to soar in pursuit of their ambitions, she devoted her life to Roman Catholic education, serving in several schools in Fife and going on to lead schools in Surrey and outer London. In the latter years of her career, she worked in education policy for the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton and the Archdiocese of Westminster. After she returned to Scotland in 2007, she volunteered at the Children's Panel to improve the lives of Scotland's most vulnerable children and young people.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those who wish to express sympathy consider making a donation to Aid to the Church in Need (acnuk.org/get-involved/donate/).
