I met Geoffrey once in Oklahoma many years ago when I was a child. He was my friend's dear friend, and his might have been the first British accent I had ever heard. I was fascinated! I only met him briefly, but I remember how much he meant to my friend. Rest in peace, Geoffrey.

Tom and I were Geoffs neighbours in Linden Lea, we became good friends in spring last year. We would sit out in the sun with Geoff and hear all of his wonderful stories.
He was a wonderful person and a fantastic writer, I’m lucky to have a library of his memoirs and look forward to re-reading them in the future.
If I have half the amount of exciting stories as Geoff I know I would have had a life well lived.

Rest in peace Geoff x

Geoffrey was a boy soldier in the RAF Regiment in Egypt in 1947 and was to return as a commando on the ‘54 invasion. He published SUEZ NEWS which was enjoyed by many veterans and military history buffs. He had many friends in Texas due to being a model railway enthusiasts of the Katy railroad and a frequent visitor.
