Much loved husband of Phyllis, loving father of Sue, Steve and daughter-in-law Melanie, loving Grampa of Joe, Lydia and Ioan, great-grampa of Felix, dear brother of Dilys and brother-in-law of Robert, Norma and Adrian, cherished uncle and friend to many. Funeral Tuesday 13th August. Service and cremation at Coychurch Crematorium, Bridgend at 2.15pm. Please, family flowers only. Enquiries to Mel & Ron Watkins Funeral Services, Pencoed, Bridgend. Dear Phyllis, Sue and family,
I learned tonight of Uncle Rons’s passing. I’m sorry sorry to miss his funeral. Mum, Dom and I wished we had been there. We send our heartfelt love to you all at this time and remember the fond memories.
Dom and I used to look forward to the Christmas selection box Uncle Ron used to bring us every Christmas and I truly believe he fostered my love of horses from a very early age. I would certainly not have taken the career path I had without his love and inspiration of the equine world. He was a true treasure and will be missed greatly by all of those whose lives were blessed by his presence.
