AlanRICHARDSONSadly lost his fight against Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) in the early hours of Friday 10th January passing away peacefully at home.

He was the much loved husband of Valerie, the devoted father of Elaine and Matt and a treasured grandad of Eleanor, Emilia and Penelope. He was loved and respected by every member of the family.

His career as a history teacher spanned 40 years mainly at Conyers School, Yarm where he was held in high esteem as a real academic inspiring many of his students to succeed and excel during their time at school and also in their own careers. His students' comments have included how he was an:

'Absolute gentleman and wonderful teacher' 'A great teacher and a great man' 'He was an amazing history teacher; he was a legend' 'He was a great man, a great teacher and form tutor' 'He was one of the nicest people you could meet' Alan's twinkling smile and kind and generous personality made him so many friends who admired his positive outlook and sense of humour.

Funeral service to take place at St Bede's Chapel, Teesside Crematorium, Acklam on Friday 31st January at 3.00pm.

We kindly ask for no flowers please; donations to the PSP Association would be appreciated.
