Jeffrey BriggsRICKELLS('Jeff') Passed away peacefully on October 3rd 2024, aged 97 years. Beloved Husband of the late Mavis Rickells, Father of Marie, Grandfather of John, Anna & the late David and Great Grandfather of Tom, Emily & Winifred. Farmer and Rotarian who served as a Councillor for 54 years. Chairman of Bassetlaw District Council in 1977 and 2004. The Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday 22nd October 2024 at Grove Street Methodist Church Retford at 12.30pm. Family flowers only please, but donations welcome in memory of Jeff to Hearing Dogs for Deaf People and Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance C/o W E Pinder & Son. 19 Thorne Road. Bawtry. DN10 6QL. A true gentleman. Will miss the early morning chats on the lane. Every morning without fail Jeff was always out with his dog.

We had the pleasure of getting to know Jeff and his family 15 years ago when I became a district councillor. We have fond memories of bbq evenings at his home and playing bowls at Beckingham bowling club.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
