Peacefully but suddenly on the 12th February, aged 99 years.

George the dearly loved husband of the late Sarah, loving dad to Sandra and Johnie, and a dearest father-in-law, grandfather and great grandfather.

Family and friends please meet for service at West Road Crematorium on Wednesday 5th March at 12.00 noon.

By request family flowers only, If desired donations in lieu of flowers Newcastle Vision Support and British Heart Foundation.

I was a staff member at Newcastle Vision Support (Blind Society) and remember George very fondly. When he came to the office he used to grab a chair and pull it up to my desk to tell me about the latest books he was listening to or what he had been up to that week. Such a kind man and well loved amongst our members, staff and volunteers. A very sad loss!
