VeraRILEYMrs Vera Riley, nee Barnes, of Stacksteads, Bacup passed away peacefully at Dove Court Nursing Home, Burnley on Thursday, January 28, aged 92. She was the much loved wife of the late James ‘Jimmy’ Riley and leaves children Peter, Brian, Ann, Elaine and Mark, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She also leaves her sister Lillie. She was a housewife for most of her life and loved knitting, baking and coach trips to the coast. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her loving family and friends. A funeral service will be conducted by Philip Norris at Burnley Crematorium on Monday, February 15 at 1.45pm, and will be for family members only due to current restrictions. Family flowers only, with donations in memory of Vera to the Alzheimer’s Society c/o funeral director Paul Swarbrick for Knight and Boys Funeral Service.
