How do you say goodbye to your forever friend and true first love ..Mum!
When I was a little girl I’d sit on her knee and play with her rings on her fingers, she’d say my children are my jewels & treasure I’d think what a silly thing to say ..but when I became a mother I knew exactly what she meant & mum you where my treasure too love you mum and don’t know how I will get by without your constant presence in my life
Tara mum till we meet again give Dad and our brothers a big hug from me

My Nanna was the best Nanna! I am incredibly honoured to be one of her many grandchildren (grandchild #25!) my heart aches that I will never be able to hear her voice on the other end of the phone, I’ll never be able to bring her the papers, thread her needles, hold her hand, be in her presence, feel her hugs anymore & more. My Nanna was the funniest Nanna. She had stories that could be made into novels and feature length films. She had wisdom for any ailment we had, I have an aesops fables book that I will treasure forever and pass down to generations to come (God willing) that she gifted me a few years ago. This is our new normal now, our world has gotten dimmer, but when I think of treasured memories a meadow will grow again, a candle will find its way through the darkness and a breath of fresh air will be inhaled as she has given me the best gift of all time - herself. So when I say Nanny Choo Choo was the best Nan anyone could have ever been truly graced with - I mean it with conviction! God Speed Nanna ❤️.
