GerardRILEYIt is with deep sorrow that the family of Gerard Riley announce that Gerard sadly passed away unexpectedly on Sunday 17th November 2024 aged 98 yrs. Gerard who was born and bred in Rochdale travelled the length and breadth of the country throughout his whole working career whilst working in the National Electricity and Gas supply industries. He led an amazingly long and truly active life, continually pursuing his interest in industrial architecture and civil engineering, his love of writing, reading and music and never failing to remain interested in all his Nephews, Nieces, Great Nephews, Great Nieces and also his Great Great, Nephew, all of whom will miss but lovingly remember him. Our Uncle Gerard will now finally be reunited with his loving parents William and Catherine along with his sisters Nora, Mary, Alice, Kitty, Peg, Eileen, Rita, and his brother Bill. The Funeral is to be held on Tuesday 10th December 2024 at 10am at St Anselms RC Church, John St , Whitworth followed by an internment at Gerard's final resting place at Whitworth Cemetery.
