Today is just one of the many days
that always makes me sad
for I know it's too late to say
the things I wish I had.
You see, I wish I told you
far more often that I cared
and that I was so grateful
for the happy times we'd shared
And time's passed since the day you left
but I'm still asking why
you couldn't have stayed for longer
and we had to say goodbye
And now your birthday is here
all there is to do
is hope that Heaven lets you Know
how much I'm missing you!
