BrianROBERTSMR Brian Roberts, of Tinkerbrook Close, Oswaldtwistle, died on Sunday, August 4, aged 69. He was the manager of Coral's betting shop and served his apprenticeship at Royal Ordnance Factory. Brian later served as a councillor from 2000 to 2015 and was an honorary alderman of Hyndburn. He was a member of the Conservative Club and enjoyed travelling, horse racing and going to the races. He leaves brother Roy, nephew Simon and niece Kirsty. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 27, at Holy Trinity Church on New Lane, Oswaldtwistle, at 1.45pm officiated by Rev Roberts. It will be followed by a service at Accrington Crematorium at 3pm. Family flowers only and donations in his memory can be made to the British Heart Foundation.
