A son of Campbeltown. A place where he loved dearly so much and had a great wealth of knowledge of Campbeltown and beyond.
Ronnie’s book, A Sense of Place: Kintyre’s Remarkable Diaspora shows he was a prolific biographer. Ronnie was very involved with the Heritage Centre as it was in his nature delve into the past and all who were born and brought up in Campbeltown and proving to the world what a great place it is.
He will be missed by many.

I am so sorry to hear of Ron's death. Ron was a legend in the Fish pathology world but most importantly he was kind to us all as students starting out in our professional careers. I have a lot to be grateful for. My condolences to Helen and the family.
