Billy, on behalf of the team, it was a true pleasure to look after you.

Fiercely independent, always ready with a joke, and respectful to all (except, perhaps, those who decided a three-week international break was a good idea…!).

You have a beautiful family, and it was so clear to see just how loved you were. Although you are no longer with us, your memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew you.

It’s people like Billy who remind me why Liverpool is the best city to live in. Red or blue, we come together when it matters most.

To Catherine, Kitty, and all of Billy's friends and family, I wish you nothing but the very best. My thoughts and condolences are with you all.
