Rosemunde Rea Minnie.ROBERTSONDevoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law and sister-in-law, passed away peacefully at home with family in attendance on May 15, 2024, in Victoria, B.C., Canada at age 88.
Rosemunde was born on October 18, 1935, to Minnie and John McGarva in Ayr, Scotland. She worked for the Pearl Insurance Company before travelling to Canada (1959) to marry Lyle Hamilton Johnstone Robertson of Kilmarnock, Scotland (Oct 3, 1959). They made the move from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan to Victoria, B.C. in 1965, where they were active and long time members of the St. Andrew's & Caledonian Society, St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church and the Victoria Golf Club. As a member of the Victoria Golf Club, Rosemunde served on numerous committees, was Ladies Vice-Captain in 1994, and Ladies Captain in 1995.
Rosemunde was predeceased by her husband Lyle (2011), her mother Minnie (1944), her father John (1957), and her brother John (2005). Rosemunde is survived by her children Fiona (Alastair), Gavin (Meridyth), and Sheena (Warren) and four grandchildren (Stuart, Gillian, Megan, and James). Rosemunde is also survived by her sister-in-law Margaret McGarva in Ayr, Scotland, niece/nephews Karen (Jamie), Alistair (Heather), and Colin (Denise) and families.
The family gathered privately to celebrate Rosemunde and Lyle.
