Goodbye old mate thanks for the memories of our youth, riding bikes along the canal, watching you rehearse with the Scorchers over Dave Ayrton's shop, at all the dancehall's, wow so long ago , RIP, David.

So sad to lose Dave, a school mate/bandmate and good friend since early childhood,we spent a lot of time together right through until he left this area, but he would always visit us when he was up here. I was best man at his wedding to Jeanne, and he asked me to drive his MG TC to the wedding reception in Grindelton which I fondly remember well. Sincere condolences to Jeanne,Melanie,Elizabeth and families. Trevor and Chris Gardner.

David and I were boys together and we shared a dream with our friends Trevor and Jim to play music. We practiced long and hard and finally got our wish. We had a great teenage life playing in our band across the North West of England. David was great fun and the stories we shared left good memories for all of us. He was a good musician, had a fine voice and kept that Bass Line tight. I remember his MG TC sports car and our trips to the Ribble valley posing in the sunshine. But most of all I remember a good lad who never let you down, sadly now played his final song. With our deepest sympathy to Jeanne and Daughters Melanie and Elizabeth and their families.
