Knew you as a young teenager. You broke your collarbone and you even smiled then… forever smiling. RIP John you are part of my memories from West End Stoke, very fond memories of a kind young man.

I had the pleasure of working with John in the mid 80's and getting to know him and his late wife Yvonne with after-work drinkies in Stoke. A genuine, sincere and lovely man he was. God bless. From Tina. x

Such a sad loss. All we have are photos and lovely memories of John, some sad, some funny. I don’t think John would like us to dwell on the sad times. So we recalled a funny memory we had. One night a few years ago, when John came scurrying into our house and taking refuge on our settee laughing his head off, apparently he had had an altercation with another driver in a mini, and John was telling this man exactly what he thought of him, until the man stepped out of his car. John said he went up and up. He must have been 7ft 2. Quite wisely John put his foot down to the floor and was in our house before the man had time to return to his car. If you’re looking down to us John, rest in peace, you will be sadly missed by us all.

Great memories of my Uncle John, especially the time when we were on holiday in Spain celebrating my 21st Birthday. On the Stroke of midnight he picked me up and threw me in the pool fully clothed, knowing that In 20 minutes time we were heading back to the UK.....soaking wet.
Sadly missed. God bless.

So many great memories of Uncle John. From sitting with me reading The Dandy,Beano as a child to play fighting whilst he was supposed to be the adult when baby sitting. He even had a go at fixing my moped . Truly missed at a time he was coming home.
