Dr. PhilipROWLANDSPeacefully on Tuesday 10th October 2017 at his home in Mountain Ash, Philip, beloved husband of Marlene and affectionately known as ''Big Bear'' to all his family. Funeral on Monday 23rd October 2017, service at St. Margaret's Church, Mountain Ash at 11am, prior to cremation at Llwydcoed Crematorium at 12 noon. No flowers by request but donations in lieu if desired to the British Heart Foundation c/o T. Teify Davies Ltd, 211 Penrhiwceiber Road, Miskin, Mountain Ash, CF45 3UN. Dear Dr Rowlands, I’ve only just found out you’re no longer with us in body. You were a good man and a great doctor to work with and I will never forget you. Your commitment, professionalism, empathy and humour made the world of difference to so many patients and staff in Palliative Care that I know of and I’m sure was the same in the rest of your personal and professional life.
