RodRUFFLEPassed away at the RD&E Hospital, Wonford, on the 5th August, aged 88 years.
Dear Husband of the late Nancy, he is survived by their daughter and is also mourned by his brother- and sisters-in-law as well as his (great-)nephews and nieces. Beyond the family he is missed by a wide circle of colleagues, friends, and neighbours.
After National Service and teaching life, he devoted many years to work supporting teachers in the NUT (later the NEU), alongside just as many years' service on the County and City Councils as a member of the Liberal Democrats. In later life he continued to support local community life in Alphington and St Thomas in particular.
Our prayer and fervent hope is that he rest in eternal peace.
The funeral will be held at The Exeter and Devon Crematorium on Thursday 27th August, at 3.30pm in St Peter's Chapel. All are welcome; in lieu of flowers, please make donations to a charity of your own choosing.
