Leon JamesRUSHWORTHIt is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Leon James Rushworth. Peacefully at home on 12th April 2024 aged 50 years. Leon, the loving and much loved husband of Sara, son of Desmond and Sandra, brother to Nadine, son-in-law to Sandra, brother-in-law to Andrew, David and Cath, Uncle to Tahlia, Phoebe, Sophie and Hannah. Friend to many and loved by all that knew him.

A celebration of Leon's incredible life will take place at Rochdale Crematorium on Monday 13th May at 3.20pm. Bright colours only please. Family flowers only, donations if desired to Springhill Hospice. Donations to Springhill Hospice. Leon loved life.leon was such a caring considerate human being.He never had a nasty word for any one.He wasn't materialidtic.He was content with what he had.The people he loved over his 50 years were so lucky to have him in their lives.my son was a beautiful soul and I his legacy i hope will carry on by the people who loved him.

To Leon and Sara, what a beautiful day yesterday. Sara and your friends did you proud. Thinking of your family and friend's surrounding you both. Sara took care to include everyone at the wake and Chapel. She provided care for everyone from past to present. Always to your wishes Leon. You will always be loved Xxx.

What a wonderful send off for Leon yesterday, the sun was shining bright on all of us and it was so nice to see so many of his family, friends and of course Charlie his beloved pooch line the streets and attend the ceremony to say their final goodbyes. The Bella vista did a fabulous job at the wake, laid on by Leon's wife Sara and it was so nice to hear everyone speaking so highly of Leon, the day couldn't have gone any better, thank you and all my love Sara and godspeed Leon x
