James PatrickRYANWe are sad to announce the passing of James Patrick Ryan otherwise known as "Jimmy" to all his family and friends. Jimmy left behind his devastated wife Cathy, his children and partners Mary & Andrew, Liza & Gary, Catherine & Michael plus James & Amy. Jimmy also leaves his beloved grandchildren Kayleigh, Chloe, Molly, Shea, Lucas, Jim, Jack, Billie and Ari plus his great granddaughter Ophelia.

I can't get my head around you not being here. We had 50 years together but it wasn't enough, it would never be enough. You were such a larger than life person, you had so many people who would call you their friend.

Your personality shone, we have had so many cards and phone calls and visits from your friends and family, we even took over every ward that you were moved to in the hospital. Those were the days when we had hope but now it's all gone, but I know that you needed to go to be with your family, lucky for them though as they got you.

I wish to God you were with me instead, I would wrap you in cotton wool so no harm would ever come to you again, goodbye my love I will love and miss you forever, your devastated but loving wife Cathy Ryan xxx

Jimmy's funeral mass will be held at 2.30pm on Thursday 7th March at St. Georges Church, L31 3DF then onto West Lancashire Cemetery & Crematorium Pippin St, Ormskirk, L40 7SP. The family welcome all Jimmy's family and friends to attend a celebration of his life at Maghull Town Hall (The Venue) from 5pm until late. Donations can be made in memory of Jimmy to Darby Rimmer MND Foundation, www.justgiving.com/darbyrimmer-mnd.
