I knew Colin from junior school through to sixth form. Whilst I haven’t seen him in recent years, we remained in contact whilst he was studying at Liverpool university and we went to watch both Notts County & Forest matches together whenever he returned to Nottingham.
As teenagers we enjoyed a camping holiday in France - and famously missed our train home!
I recall Colin as a very gentle soul and I can’t imagine that ever changed. I’m sure he would have been deeply affected by the loss of both his wonderful parents in very recent times.
RIP dear Colin … I will remember you always as a funny, witty and kind friend of our shared youth.
Deepest condolences to all those who loved him, especially his twin sisters, Sharon & Glenis.

Colin was my history teacher at Hucknall National during the early 1980s. Politically with had very little in common, but we both loved history and Notts County. He was a huge influence on my life and it was a shock to hear of his passing. I'm certain many other former students of his would have something similar to say about the way he taught, which was way before its time. Bless you Colin Sansom and thank you for all you did for me.
