Jeffrey ClintonSAVAGEIt is with great sadness the family wish to announce the death of Jeff at the Douglas Macmillan Hospice on Saturday, 18th August, 2018 aged 71 years. The much loved husband of Georgina, devoted dad to David and Claire and father-in-law to Neil and Claire, a treasured grandad to Rebecca, James, Benjamin and Lauren

Funeral service to be held at St. James' Church, Longton on Thursday, 6th September at 2 p.m. followed by private family interment at Longton Cemetery

Will relatives please accept this intimation and friends kindly meet at the church

Family flowers only please. Donations preferred to Douglas Macmillan Hospice

I was very sorry to here of the passing of Jeff Savage,we went to Florence School together in the 1950 s i worked at his home, and his business in the 1980 s as His Plumbing and Heating Engineer,he was a very good business man and he leaves behind a very nice hard working Family his Mother, went to School with my mother in the 1920 s Jeff and i did not always see eye to eye together,but i did respect him.God bless his sole. I have lost a boss, a mentor and a friend. Jeff has lost his brave battle against cancer. Jeff has always been extremely good to me, and I shall always remember him as a staunch ally. He has done a remarkable job over the years keeping H Bowers as a profitable business in an area where so many have not survived. Even Platt's Garage has recently gone, leaving Bowers as one of the oldest established businesses in the area. That is no coincidence. It is mainly down to Jeff's dedication, hard work and vision, I for one will miss him greatly. RIP old friend.
