Hello Grandad,

The girls were off sick today, so we ended up painting the garden. Clearly, they’re not that poorly if they’ve got the energy for that! Ellyza found a snail and, of course, named it Jimmy—just like she calls beetles Jimmy too. It made me think back to when you passed away, and Dale found a frog in the garden. He brought it into the house, and the kids all named it Jimmy after you. I was absolutely mortified having a frog in the house, but they were all laughing their heads off and wanted to keep it forever.

It’s funny to realise that ever since then, they’ve been calling every little creature Jimmy. Maybe it’s your way of saying hi to them. 💕 Although, thankfully, there were a few Jimmy the snails around… because I accidentally stood on a couple! 🤣 Ellyza came out looking for hers, and luckily, another one appeared just in time.

You’ll always be remembered, even if it is through a snail, and forever missed—no matter what. 🤍 love ya pops
