MariaSCOTT - (BARBARAVILLE)Maria (Meme) nee Holgate, passed away on Thursday 6th August 2026, as the result of a tragic accident, aged 60 years.

Beloved wife and soul mate of Paul, a much loved mum of Duncan and Callum, mother in law and friend of Laura, loving daughter of Louisa, a dear sister of Antonia and sister in law of Michael and a cherished auntie of Jenny, Rachel, Harry and David. Meme will be very much missed by all of her extended family and many friends.

Requiem Mass to be held in St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Invergordon on Monday 31st August 2026, commencing at 11am, thereafter to Rosskeen Cemetery.

All friends respectfully invited. Colourful clothing welcome. Family flowers only please, but a donation, if desired, can be made at the Mass for Invergordon R.N.L.I and Blooming Gardners.

1st time I met Maria, was at her wedding to my younger cousin Paul.
As soon as I met her, you could feel the love, fun and warmth radiate from her.
She never changed over all these years and certainly made our lives better for knowing her.
We used to have a giggle when I told her to take her superwoman red pants off and have a rest, as she was always there for everyone with that infectious smile.
Sadly missed Bobby and Carolyn 💔

My very special friend - endlessly kind and warm, smart, brave and full of laughter. We’ve lived our lives and had so many adventures together. From the beginning, physio in Enfield, swimming before work and then eating your honey sandwiches, getting married and having babies - learning how to be mums together, and then training to be sunflowers and our gardening business together. So much joy - running, wild swimming, surprising the kids with the sunflower hot air balloon flight And the happiness in the every day - cups of tea, pottering in gardens, family time and just being together through the ups and downs of life.
You’re the thing1 to my thing2, the sunflower1 to my sunflower2.
We fixed each others backs, we waxed each others legs, and lifted each other up when life got hard. Words could never express how much I’m going to miss you.

I will love you always dearest Meme.
