My great auntie Lily was a great woman, a soul who truly was kind to the core. She was a devout woman who, not only repeated the teachings from the good book but lived by them. She touched many lives through, namely nursing, the fire brigade and the Salvation Army but she made friends (and put people in order) everywhere she went. Kindness, charity, love and laughter were her defining principles. I will always cherish the fond memories I have and share with others, and I'll never forget how cheeky she was right till the end.

Love you always, God bless Lilly xxx

To my Godmother and Auntie you gave me the role and honour of nursing you 24 7 over the last 2 months of your life. For that I am eternally grateful for every second of the time I spent with you throughout my life. Following my mother passing away 33 years ago as always you opened up your home, arms and heart again and again. You have loved, cared and guided me and my Son's as only a Mother and Grandmother can do. I salute you with an enormous amount of pride and wish you well till we meet again, my dearest Auntie Lily.

Rest In Peace

A message to my Auntie Grandma.
I am completely inconsolable by your passing. I wasn’t lucky enough to have my Nana Marjorie in my life, however I was most certainly lucky enough to have you as my Grandma my whole life.
Although we’ve often had physical distance, we’ve always been emotionally connected, and enjoyed one another’s company when we are together. Teaching me calligraphy, fish & chips out of the paper, cod & parsley sauce, your Eleventh Commandment (Thou shalt not be caught), and even letting me have my ear pierced (oh yes, I know…) will be incredibly fond memories. Equally, I’ll always treasure all the days we’ve managed to spend together in the last months - so incredibly thankful for them, and I promise I won’t forget.
You were, and will always be remembered for being the most compassionate, supportive, hardworking, and even stoic in the most challenging of moments - but I’m sure most people will remember your cheeky and convivial personality.
Love always - you’ll now be in heaven with Maurice where you belong.
God bless.
