JohnSEARSIt is with great sadness family announce the passing of John Sears or 'Big John' as people called him.
John passed away peacefully on the 25th of August 2026, aged 77, surrounded by those who loved him.
John was a devoted husband to the late Glenda, a much loved and devoted dad to Gavin, Wayne and Lyndsey and adored grandad of Courtney and Callum. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him but the memories will never fade.
John's wishes were for a private direct cremation with "no fuss" at Bretby Crematorium. It is requested that those who knew John, keep both him and his family in their thoughts at this sad and difficult time and remember him with fondness.
Donations made in memory will be forwarded to Queens Hospital Burton, Children's Ward.
