AlanSEATON22.05. 1930 - 23.04.2021 It is with immense sadness that we announce the death of Alan who passed away peacefully on 23rd April, aged very nearly 91 years. He was at home with his loving wife Ivy and step daughter Janet holding his hands as he slipped away. Alan had courageously fought many battles with cancer over the last 29 years with great dignity; never losing his cheeky sense of humour. He was a loving husband to his late wife Joyce and was devoted to Ivy for 32 years of marriage. He was step father to Ian and Janet, father in law to Tracey and David, grandpa to Abbie and Ben. He was a caring uncle to many nieces and nephews, a dear brother to the late Ken, Freda and Joan. He was also a great friend and neighbour. A celebration of Alan's life will take place at Grimsby Crematorium on Friday May 14th at 12 noon. The service will be Webcast for Alan's family in Australia. Please contact the family if you would like to know how to join this link. Family flowers only on request. Donations in lieu to the Haven Team from St. Andrew's Hospice or Marie Curie nurses and admin team who both gave great care to Alan and invaluable support to the family. Please make cheques payable to either Care Plus Group Charitable Trust or Marie Curie, send c/o St Andrews Hospice, Peaks Lane, Grimsby, DN32 9RP. The family would also like to thank the staff at Clee Medical Centre and The Diana Princess of Wales Hospital who cared for Alan over so many years. Recent times would also have been so much more difficult without the love and continuing support from Alan's nephews Malcolm Pritchard and Barrie Jackson and their respective fantastic wives Anna and Dawn. Alan will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Sentiments Funeral Home 17 Chantry Lane, Grimsby N.E. Lincs. DN31 2LP Tel 01472 242783. admin@sentiments-funerals.co.uk
