The obituary notice of Iris SELBY

Iris was a very special friend and a great support to me and to Andrew and Anne. When I started teaching in Llandaff City C?W Junior School in 1970, my class - standard 1, Y3, had come up from the infants, having been taught by Iris. Everyone wanted her class because we knew that they would be already well up in Maths, Reading and English. Iris was an excellent teacher and well loved. She taught my children and we worked together later. She was a very positive person, a committed Christian and such an inspiration. I know many of the children she taught will be very grateful for her love and kindness. The greatest gift of teaching is to see the children grow up happy and fulfilled. Chris, your mother did just that. Love to you and all the family.

Very sad to hear about the death of Mrs Selby. A lovely lady, who taught me 43 years ago, always my favourite teacher, who left a lasting impression. Thoughts and love to family and friends.
