Martin will be sadly missed by the amateur radio community. He, with his wife Jenny, were the mainstays of the Derby and District Amateur Radio Society (DADARS) for many years. I first met Martin over 55 years ago when I visited the club when it met at Green Lane in Derby. His enthusiasm and commitment to the club were outstanding. He will be missed not only locally, but throughout the UK, by members of the Radio Fraternity Lodge 8040. It was a great honour to have known Martin and his hard work enhanced the lives of many. You may now be a Silent Key (SK) Martin but you will be remembered by many. 73 de Steve Haseldine G8EBM

I was very saddened to learn of Martin's passing. I worked with Martin for several years at international Combustion as his photographic assistant. He was a top man to work with and also a great friend. My thoughts are with Jenny and all Martin's family. Angela Woolley was Upton and Allt.
