ValerieSHARPLESON Saturday, March 28, peacefully in Dove Court Nursing Home, Burnley, Val, aged 77, of Great Harwood. The dearly beloved wife of Edward, she was much loved mum of Carol, Edward and Paul, also a dear mother-in-law of Russell, Tracy and Natasha, a loving and devoted grandma and great-grandma, also dear sister of Derek, Alan and the late Joan, and a dear sister-in-law and auntie. Valerie spent most of her working life at Fine Arts, Altham making greeting cards. She and Edward enjoyed dancing in their younger years and also loved their holidays all over the world, travelling to such places as America, Switzerland and throughout Europe. Valerie enjoyed reading and liked to watch all the soaps on TV. She was a most devoted family lady who absolutely doted on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; lots of babysitting and many truly happy times were spent creating a host of special memories. Valerie and Edward were true soulmates and a great team and they celebrated their Diamond anniversary this year on March 26. Valerie will be remembered for her selfless devotion to her family.
